Faulkner County EFA questions

Which Conway schools take the EFA?

All five in our directory participated in 2024-25: Conway Christian School, St. Joseph Catholic School and Compass Academy in Conway, and Ambassador Baptist Academy and Central Christian Academy in Greenbrier.

Does Compass Academy qualify for the higher amount?

Students who came from the former Succeed Scholarship receive $8,011 instead of $7,208 in 2026-27. Compass serves students with learning differences, and 105 of its roughly 140 students used an account in 2024-25.

Can a Conway high-schooler use the EFA for UCA classes?

The account can pay for approved college courses and fees, and families recorded EFA spending at the University of Central Arkansas in 2024-25. Check that the course is approved in ClassWallet before you register.

Is there an online Christian school option?

Yes. AmFaith (American Faith Academy) is an online classical Christian K-12 school and our featured partner. Tuition is about $2,260 for K-2 and $3,000 for grades 3-12. Confirm its current Arkansas EFA approval in ClassWallet before you pay from the account.

How do we apply?

New students apply through the state's FACTS portal at arkansasefa.com during the spring window (March 9 to June 1 for 2026-27). Returning families renew inside ClassWallet. 2027-28 dates haven't been announced.

The local picture

Conway is known as the City of Colleges for the University of Central Arkansas, Hendrix College and Central Baptist College, and its private K-12 schools are fewer and larger than you might expect. Conway Christian School and St. Joseph Catholic School each serve roughly 450 to 580 students from pre-K through grade 12.

Both big campuses are EFA-heavy. About half of Conway Christian's students (290 of about 580) and of St. Joseph's (234 of about 445) used an account in 2024-25. Compass Academy, which serves students with learning differences, had 105 of 140 students on an account.

Conway sits 30 miles from Little Rock, so some families also look south to Little Rock schools. For most, the bigger question is whether the account covers enough of a local campus, or whether an online or homeschool path fits better.

Start or grow a school that families can fund

Faulkner County has strong church communities and only five private schools, all of them already serving large EFA enrollments. Vilonia and Mayflower in particular have no private school of their own in our directory, so a church-hosted elementary program there would fill a real geographic gap.
